Math News
I sent home a study guide this weekend. They do not have to work on it, unless they want to start studying and/or know that Monday and Tuesday nights they will not have time. The plan is that Monday night they complete the front and we go over in class Tuesday and Tuesday night they complete the back and we go over it on Wednesday before we take the test. They will then turn it in before the test and that will be their homework packet for the week. That’s right--there will not be a normal homework packet going home this week--just the study guide due by Wednesday.
I will be putting an ALEKS grade in the gradebook on Monday morning. Students should have at least 10 topics mastered within the last 2 weeks.
Students worked on their Wild Weather reports all week in class. The Breaking Report was turned in Wednesday and I have uploaded a picture of them into Seesaw. We are working on the video using Screencastify. Students are creating a Google slide with a background and a slide with pictures of what they need to prepare for their storm. They can then use screencastify and record themselves reading their report. When they are complete, we will upload them into Seesaw as well. A few have finished and I have loved watching them--I know you will too!
This next week we will complete our last lesson in our weather unit on climate. We will take a final weather test around the 24th. There will be a study guide for this final test available closer to the test date.
