National Engineering Week Activities

National Engineering Week is February 19-25

National Engineering Week is a week in which we celebrate professionals in all fields of engineering and computing.  With help from the sponsor, SCANA, the CEC is hosting an Open House geared toward kindergarten through 12th grade students.

The Open Hosue will be held on Saturday, February 18th from 10am - 2pm at the Swearingen Center at 315 Main Street on the USC Columbia campus.  This free event will feature dozens of interactive exhibits that highlight the CEC's programs and reserach including the following:

Fuel cell demonstrations

Electric and hybrid vehicles

A cornstarch pool

Robots

Computer Games

Segway Rides

Lab tours
